"Wisdom in her power extends from one end of the earth to the other; she rules all things with perfection." - Wis 8,1 _________________________________________________ * “And if one can take from you what you have, who can take from you what you give?” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry ....................................................... * Before you talk to someone about yourself, test their Christian maturity, otherwise they will use it against you. ....................................................... * "Christianity is earned. It is not intended to be a social welfare office and a repository for all the world's miseries." Why Go to Church? If you're spiritually awake, you'll love it!If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it. If you're spiritually curious, there's always hope! So why go to church? A Christian wrote a letter to his pastor and complained that it didn't make sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've been going for 30 years,' he wrote, 'and to date I've heard some 3,000 talks. But I don't remember a single one. So I think I'm wasting my time and the brethren are wasting theirs just giving Bible talks.' The pastor replied, 'I've been married for 30 years now. During that time, my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But I don't remember the entire menu of a single measly meal. But I know this: They all fed me and gave me the strength I needed to work. If my wife had not provided me with those meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church to be fed, I would be spiritually dead today! Even when you feel incapable of anything, never forget that God is always ready to do something for you! By faith, see the invisible! Believe the improbable and conceive the impossible! Thank you, God, for the physical and spiritual nourishment we receive at church! |
